Wedding Restroom Trailer Rental
Your guests deserve better than a porta potty. Our wedding restroom trailers have flushing toilets, running water, and climate control.
Sterling Rentals provides wedding restroom trailer rentals throughout the Twin Cities West Metro, serving couples at outdoor ceremonies, tented receptions, barn venues, lakeside properties, and everywhere in between. If your venue doesn’t have restrooms, we bring a fully self-contained trailer that fits the occasion. A restroom that your guests will actually appreciate, delivered and set up before your first guest arrives.

Restroom Trailers: The Superior Choice for Your Wedding
Restroom trailers are a great step above a traditional “portable restroom”. Here’s what you can expect with a restroom trailer from Sterling Rentals:
Climate Control
Full climate control including heat, A/C, electricity, and lighting. It’s just like you’re in a house!
Toiletries
All of the toiletries your guests would expect to be in a bathroom; toilet paper, soap, towels, and more.
Full Plumbing
Flushing toilets, flowing sinks, it’s a bathroom on wheels! You’ll have every amenity of a normal restroom.
Privacy
You know what a porta potty’s like. With us, any concern you’d have with a traditional portable restroom won’t apply.
How Many Guests Can a Restroom Trailer Serve?
A good rule is one stall per 40 guests for a 4-6 hour event. However, whether or not alcohol is involved can have a major effect on how many restroom facilities you’ll need. FEMA provides a ratio for restrooms at events, which isn’t as helpful for smaller gatherings, rather large events:
Facilities for events without alcohol
| Patrons | Toilets | Urinals | Sinks |
| <500 | 7 | 2 | 4 |
| <1,000 | 11 | 4 | 8 |
| <2,000 | 16 | 8 | 12 |
| <3,000 | 24 | 15 | 20 |
| <5,000 | 38 | 25 | 34 |
Facilities for events with alcohol
| Patrons | Toilets | Urinals | Sinks |
| <500 | 16 | 8 | 4 |
| <1,000 | 21 | 10 | 8 |
| <2,000 | 27 | 15 | 14 |
| <3,000 | 32 | 20 | 28 |
| <5,000 | 52 | 30 | 40 |
It’s impossible to put the perfect trailer size for your needs all into one chart. We’re happy to help you pick the restroom trailer that’s perfect for your wedding!
How it Works
Getting a restroom trailer to your wedding is simpler than you might think. Here’s what the process looks like from start to finish.
Get a quote
Tell us about your wedding; date, location, and guest count. We’ll recommend the right trailer and send you a quote, usually within one business day.
Confirm & book
Review the quote, ask any questions, and secure your date with a 50% deposit. We handle the details from here, you don’t need to think about it again until delivery day.
We deliver & set up
We arrive the day before your wedding, position the trailer, connect water and power, and make sure everything is running perfectly before your guests arrive.
We pick up after
Once your wedding wraps up, we return the next day to disconnect and haul everything away. No cleanup, no coordination. You’ll never know we were there.
What Does a Restroom Trailer Rental Cost?
Every wedding is a little different, which is why we provide custom quotes rather than one size fits all pricing. A few key factors determine what your rental will cost:
Guest Count
The number of people using the trailer determines which unit, or how many units, your event requires. More stalls means a larger trailer, and that’s reflected in the price. Getting this right also ensures your guests aren’t waiting in line.
Remote Venues
Barn weddings, lakeside ceremonies, and rural properties are some of our favorite events to service, and they come with their own logistics. If your venue is far from the nearest utility hookup or requires a longer drive, that factors into your quote.
Utility Availability
If your venue doesn’t have accessible utilities nearby, we can supply the necessary replacements. That equipment carries an additional cost, so it’s worth flagging early so we can account for it upfront and avoid any surprises on delivery day.
Alcohol Service
Weddings with an open bar see significantly higher restroom usage. If alcohol will be served, we account for that when recommending trailer size and pricing your rental. It’s one of the most commonly overlooked factors in planning.
Every quote is free and comes with a recommendation on the right trailer for your wedding. No guesswork, no surprises.

Frequently Asked Questions
How big of a wedding can your trailers accommodate?
Our trailers can service an intimate 30 person wedding to large 500+ guest counts.
Can the trailer be set up inside a tent or next to our reception area?
Yes, we work with you and or your venue coordinator ahead of time to find the best placement for the trailer. As long as there’s a clear path for delivery and access to power and water nearby, we can make almost any placement work.
What features do your trailers have?
Our restroom trailers include flushing toilets, running sink water, electricity, climate control (heating/air conditioning), interior/exterior lighting, full vanities, and include all toiletries.
What is the delivery and setup process?
For one day events, we typically deliver the restroom the day before your event, and get everything hooked up for you. For long term or construction rentals, we can deliver whenever your site is ready for us.
How far in advance should I book a restroom trailer?
We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for weddings and summer events. Peak season runs May through October, and dates fill up quickly. For construction and long term rentals, we can typically accommodate shorter notice, but earlier is always better to guarantee availability. Emergency service may also be available.
What happens after my wedding?
For weddings, we usually pick up the trailer the day after the event.
What are the requirements for hosting the trailer?
We need access to power, hose water, and space to drive to the desired location. Accommodations may be available if your site is missing one of these things.
What is the payment process after booking?
We process a 50% deposit upon booking to secure your date, and the remaining balance upon delivery of the restroom.
How many days does the rental cover?
Most event bookings are one day of restroom use. If your celebration runs across multiple days, we can accommodate that.
Do your trailers run unattended, or do you provide an attendant?
Our trailers are fully self-contained and run unattended throughout your event. Everything is set up and ready before your guests arrive. However, if you’d like dedicated on site support, we offer attendant services as an add on, for weddings where you want a white-glove experience.
